Cluster 3: Plant Health Management

Cluster 3 focuses on preventive plant protection measures and the promotion of natural regulatory mechanisms. In addition, innovative approaches are being developed and tested to improve mechanical weed control and biological disease and pest management. These include, for example, AI-based pathogen monitoring to support an innovative plant protection system using biological antagonists for disease control, as well as the use of functional biodiversity through banker plant systems or open rearing systems for biological pest control.
