Cluster 6: Sustainability Assessment

Cluster 6 examines the sustainability of NOcsPS cropping systems compared to conventional and organic systems from ecological, economic, and social perspectives. Based on a life cycle assessment (LCA) model that integrates site- and system-specific factors, the environmental impacts of NOcsPS systems can be assessed in a location- and system-specific manner. By linking the LCA with an economic optimization model, the ecological, economic, and social impacts are analyzed.
